Práca hravou
manipuláciou s telesným fragmentom pojednáva o existenciálnej výpovedi,
telesných či mentálnych obmedzeniach. Pomocou tela sa pokúšam o
prekročenie nebadanej hranice medzi subjektom a svetom. Telo
nedematerializujem, zobrazujem jeho celistvosť na poli vonkajšej
i vnútornej reflexie. Na
fotografiách zachytávam mladých ľudí, ktorí zosobňujú aspekty univerzálnych situácií a
vzťahov. Prevažne pokojné polohy tela sa striedajú s polohami evokujúcimi
napätie. Neutrálne prostredie umožňuje upriamiť pozornosť na dominujúci ľudský
prvok a na vzájomnú interakciu postáv. Práca pozostáva z fotografií rôznych formátov, ktorými
vyjadrujem diverzitu prístupov a interpretácií. Inštaláciu konštruujem
naratívne, vytváram hypotézy a konotácie, ktorými sprostredkujem nepatrnú dávku
fiktívnej intimity.
In this project, I am using playful manipulation of
physical fragments to express existentialism or the limits of body and mind.
With the help of the body I try to cross the imperceptible boundaries between
my subject and the world around it. I am not dematerializing the body, but I am
merely displaying its integrity within external and internal reflection. The
photographs depict young people who act as the embodiment of aspects from
universal human situations and relationships. Mostly peaceful postures are
followed by positions that evoke tension. Neutral environment allows to draw
the attention to the dominating human element and to the interaction between
characters. The work consists of various formats that reflect the diversity of
approaches and interpretations. I construct narrative setup, creating
hypotheses and connotations that convey a certain amount of fictional intimacy.
Impossible 2012
Modelov - prevažne tanečníkov, inscenujem v indiferentných priestoroch, vo fyzicky náročných pózach, ktoré odzrkadlujú možnú nestabilitu a neistotu v našich vlastných možnostiach.
Models, mostly dancers, are staged in indifferent environments,
preforming physically demanding poses that reflect the potential instability
and uncertainty of our own choices. The body so becomes a carrier of
information, it creates tension and confrontation between itself and the space.
Pose and gesture also represent a personal view on feelings or emotional
conditions. Series not only refers to certain stories emerging behind them, but
also to our own perceptions.

Moja vlastná fikcia je mojou vlastnou realitou 2011
V 70. rokoch 20. storočia sa medzi román a
autobiografiu včlenil nový naratívny diskurz, autofikcia, ktorý modifikoval
vzťah fikcie a skutočnosti, pravdivosti a pravdepodobnosti a nastolil nový
modus písania o sebe. Autofikcia je hybridné a fragmentárne gesto na pomedzí
fikcie a dokumentu. Fiktívna
autobiografia často spája životy spisovateľa a rozprávača. Spisovateľ si vytvorí svojho vlastného
rozprávača a pomocou neho sprostredkuje určitú dávku fiktívnej reality.
Rozprávač zastáva rolu spolukonateľa a spolutvorcu našich identít. Rozširuje
poznanie, ale zároveň mystifikuje.
My own fiction
is my own reality 2011
In the 70s of
the 20th century a new narrative discourse „autofiction“ emerged between the
novel and autobiography, that modified the relationship between fiction and reality,
truth and probability, and raised a new style of writing about oneself. Fictional Biography
is a fragmentary gesture on the borders of fiction and document. Often connects the lives of the writer
and narrator. The writer creates its own narrative and using it conveys a
certain amount of fictional reality. The narrator takes the role of
co-identity.

Bolo Nebolo 2010
Was or Was not 2010
Was or Was not 2010
In this body of work I explored formative elements which,
as I think, predetermined and partly influenced the development of my imagination.
I used memories from my past, which played a very important role in my childhood
imagination, to define the boundaries between real and unreal... “possible and
impossible”. Each photo represents one particular moment, a specific picture that
despite elapsed time remained anchored deeply in my mind.
